[arabic-vip] next call

Dear Sarmad and All,
I'm trying to make it back to office or home to participate in the call
today, but in case I don't manage, here are a couple of points I wish to
mention:
1. Regarding UDRP and the text kindly prepared by Manal, there is
widespread reference to bundling. As bundling is not the only possible way
to deal with variants ( e.g., indexing or other means), it seems to me that
a more generic reference to methods deployed by a registry to deal with
variants is advisable.
2. While the extensive coverage of all issues related to establishing and
running a TLD is commendable, we should not lose sight of the fact that
much ICANN activity has already been directed at these issues, and the
additional attention to variants should not become a tool for postponing
IDN TLDs. Note that ccNSO is on its way for doing a PDP on ccIDNs (which of
course will take advantage of any useful output from VIP), and gNSO paved
the way for DAG which is supposed to deal with gTLDs, both ASCII and IDN.
We have to be careful not to provide any excuses for discriminating against
IDN gTLDs on grounds of 'further study needed'.
Best
Siavash
