Dear Raed and All,

Would request others to contribute, about whether Beh and Noon classes
should be considered similar.

Regards,
Sarmad

Dear Sarmad,

Thanks for the clarification . I still think 062B & 06BD are similar in the
end and standalone positions.

So I think many user will not see the different between them and I
recommends adding them to appendix B.1

With best regards,

Dear Raed,

Thanks for the input.

1. At one point I also thought 06BD was font error, but Siavash had
pointed out that this was for Jawi and it is actually encoded like this
(from our interaction with Noor in Jordan). Thus is it confusing with 067E
and is already in the table A.1. Beh and Noon classes should not be
considered similar in final or isolated forms.

2. Agree with these suggestions and adding them to the dot
orientation table.

Please let us know if you have any further comments.

Regards,
Sarmad

Dear Sarmad,

I have two small comments on the appendices:

1- I see that the relation between the 062B & 06BD was not covered!

I believe they fall under "B.1. Similar Shape in at least one Position".
Also, I think the beginning and medial form are not implemented correctly in
the forn since the letter is noon with 3 dots above and the font mis placed
the dots below! which might make them exactly similar in the beginning and
Middle form and fall under this category "Appendix A.1. Same Shape in at
least one Position".

2-      The relation (064A <-> 067B) and the relation (06CC<->067B) still
not covered!

I believe they fall under "Appendix B.3. Confusable Similar Shape with
Difference in Dot Orientation" (see the beginning and middle form).

Dear All,

Please find attached the latest version, with all the points discussed today
incorporated, along with the updated definitions.

The changes are in redline.

I did try to move the section on combined characters to the section on
optional characters, but as I was trying to edit through it, the section
quickly deteriorated into a confusing jumble of words. Thus I have undone
that attempt.

Kindly read through the changes and share any feedback you may have. We
plan to close this document tomorrow evening and hand it over to Baher and
Mohammed for final editing and formatting, so please respond timely to give
them as much time to make the final pass.

Regards,
Sarmad
