Another issue: Do you think that we should recommends to handle variants up to the position level or make it general mapping?


-         Example for general mapping (U+0647 = U+06BE = U+06C1 = U+06D5) so they are similar in any position

-         Example for position mapping U+0647(Isolated &Medial) = U+06BE (Isolated & Medial) , another example U+06D5(isolated)= U+06C1(isolated)..etc

The position mapping will make it more accurate and deny blocking extra string that may not be similar (false alarms) but may be complicated to implement.


The below example shows the posible variants for the string هدهد (which means Hoopoe) and you can see not all of them looks alike so why blocking the rest?!

Need your inputs on this … note that this may apply when describing the langue tables.
