Could you get a response from the relevant person on aspect being raised by Siavash on  the language of gTLD requirement (see below).  This was discussed earlier (in the context that gTLD labels are not "words" of a language but a character string).

In the new gTLD Applicant Guidebook, under Module 1, article 1.3.1, item
2, one reads that "The applicant will specify the language of the
applied-for gTLD string,... ". This is probably a left-over from fast track
ccTLD process, seems to serve no purpose, and can be objected to on the
following grounds:
1. There is no language-specification requirement for ASCII gTLDS. What is
the language of 'com', 'info',...?
2. The applied-for string may not be a word, hence not a word in any
language.
3. A TLD may be meaningful in more than one language, all using the same
script. Specifying ONE of these languages as the language of the label
would limit the intended range of the target market and incur financial
disadvantage.
4. When the label is meaningful in more than one language, specifying one
as THE language of the label may engender unnecessary etymological disputes
among targeted language groups.
The least modification one could ask for would be changing '...the
language of the applied-for gTLD string' to '...the languageS of the
applied-for gTLD string, IF ANY, ...'
