From alice.jansen at icann.org Thu Sep 14 09:28:34 2023 From: alice.jansen at icann.org (Alice Jansen) Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2023 09:28:34 +0000 Subject: [CCT-IA] An update on pending recommendations Message-ID: Dear CCT Implementation Shepherds, This is to inform you that on 10 September 2023, the Board took action on a set of eleven CCT and SSR2 pending recommendations, including nine recommendations related to DNS abuse. We invite you to refer to the Board resolution and associated Scorecard which contains rationale and accompanying analysis for each recommendation. The Board approved one SSR2 pending recommendation (SSR2 Recommendation 13.2) as fully implemented and rejected ten pending recommendations (SSR2 Recommendations 9.2, 9.3, 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, 13.1 and 14.2, and CCT Recommendations 14 and 15). The Board acknowledged the significant work that ICANN org has been conducting on DNS security threats and DNS abuse in partnership with relevant stakeholders. We would also like to use this opportunity to share that ICANN org delivers quarterly updates on the status of, and progress made in implementing Board-approved recommendations, as well as on the status of recommendations pending prioritization and pending Board consideration. See https://www.icann.org/resources/reviews/specific-reviews for more information. Thanks, Best regards Alice -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I can't say I'm surprised to note the unease communicated by rubbishing the principle of incentives to engender good behaviour in concessionaires + determining and setting a threshold for definite response to bad behaviour within the purview of concessionaires. Those are actions regulators - at least those that embrace the role - in other spaces consider ordinary.
