As a registrant of many domains and a person who aids people in registering
their own domains, this change is detrimental to consumers as it means an
increased spike in .com domain names (which have traditionally been the
cheaper alternatives) matching similar to that of more "premium" TLDs. It
not only de-values some of the more personalized TLDs such as .NAME, .IS
etc, but it would allow for the over-inflation of the value of .COM
domains.

This becomes a barrier for entry for young entrepreneurs who want to launch
their own online presence.
