Hello,

I am writing as a small business owner, and a consultant that helps to get
many startups and nonprofits a digital presence. In today's world, a
website is synonymous with legitimacy for many of these
enterprises/endeavors. I work with many socioeconomically disadvantaged,
immigrant, and women founders that are making their bet, working their
asses off to hit the ground running to make lives for themselves, their
communities and their families better. Many of these projects involve
multiple domains to avoid competitors squatting on similar web addresses,
or separate domains for individuals funds/projects. Raising the expense of
these business necessities and threatening the financial bottom-line of
these courageous ventures seems truly unfair, and like your organization is
leading from a place of greed than a place of understanding. I do hope that
ICANN rethinks this price raise in the interest of the fabric that makes up
the web eco-system, it's not large multi-nationals - it's a lot of small
businesses and dreams that pay that price to have a fighting chance at
running.

Thank you for your time.

My best,
Dhara
