[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Oppose proposed Amendment 3 price increase for .COM domains

I am a web developer and owner of dozens of .COM domains. I oppose the proposed price increase that Amendment 3 would authorize.

The global DNS registration system should be run for the benefit of the public, not private interests. ICANN is chartered to preserve the public interest, not to increase the profits of a private company that has a monopoly on the most valued domain extension.

This proposed amendment will impact millions of small, independent businesses and developers.

Please DO NOT adopt this proposed amendment. Consider the financial impact on the millions of small businesses that this price increase will hit the hardest.
