[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] The internet must remain a resource for the people by the people

The internet is built on open standards and protocols, of which DNS is one of the original and most basic. There is no place for private back room deals in a service like this. It’s understandable that a service this old needs some updates and maybe even a larger overall, but this must stay open and in the public, not behind closed-door deals. This should be considered akin to a monopoly as a single company has control over the most popular top-level domain. Obviously and technical advances for any top-level domain should apply to all TLDs, so there is no valid reason Verisign and .com domains should be any different than others. Do not support this amendment.
