I am a registrant of a .com domain name just like millions of others around
the world. I am very against the proposed price increase to .COM domains
because what does it achieve? Perhaps we should setup another network with
more reasonable authorities than ICANN.

No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. Obviously huge
companies don't care much about their domain costs, but for single users
like myself, major increases to domain prices could price me out of the
market. Domains are the last place we need stratification in society today.
Verisign just manages domain registry lookups for you, but ICANN should set
a price reasonable for ALL.

ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
Please do it.
