I believe the internet must serve the public. ICANN should serve public interests, not the interests of the few on top. I am against the price raise proposal unless it is proven absolutely necessary, because .COM domains make up such a large part of the internet, and it is small business owners without rich funding who will get hit the hardest. I am also against this unless there can be more transparency and clarity about where the funds are going, so we can ensure the money goes into necessary domain infrastructure and back to public benefit, rather than lining someone's pockets up top. ICANN, please listen to the public and to your own community, and involve us in this discussion.
