Increasing the yearly cost for maintaining a DNS registered name, with the ability to increase the costs each year at will, 
Will severely undermine the diversity and healthy representation of online communities, tools and persons.
There is a beautiful origin use of online access to information not being commerce based. 
There are many ways people have built I. To charge to be online but please do not increase barrier to one of the most fundamental first steps of registering your place in this virtual space.
