To Whom It May Concern.

I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains.

ICANN and Verisign is supposed to govern the domain name system in the
public interest and it should not be in the business of dictating the
price.

Looking at the computing cloud services industry (like Amazon, dropbox,
etc) prices has not gone up or have stay steady and even in some cases the
prices has dropped or stayed the same price but the service offering has
grown to mega offerings. To which I am asking, how is ICANN or Verisign
giving us more value?

This is just another form of monopoly of big business and just another type
of "tax" on the small businesses and individuals.

The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified in the light
of cloud services offerings out there. If you really consider it, it is
essentially one transaction(work load) per year with cloud storage. It
costs nearly to nothing to store that record for a year and to process once
a year.
