ICANN,

This proposal will allow for .com prices to increase by more than 70% in the next decade, decreasing access to important technology. Information deserves a free an open platform to be disseminated and it takes the hard-earned dollars of individuals to ensure a diverse internet of ideas. By allowing for a price increase, you'll be limiting the access to publishing on a trusted domain name to those who have access to capital.
If, instead, internet giants like Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google contributed their profits to ICANN (and other internet backbone services), we could maintain the cost of providing domain services without penalizing those who do not have the means to contribute more than a few bucks a month toward a website.
Thank you for considering my comment,
Daniel E. Sandoval
