Access to domain services is vital to the continued use and growth of the
internet and modern society. Allowing a for-profit company to unilaterally
decide when and by how much to raise prices is a recipe for disaster.
Coupled with the secret negotiations between ICANN and Verisign, the
commissions that ICANN receives on each registration, and the extra $20
million in earmarked but unenforceable funds casts strong doubt on the
public benefit of this deal and casts both players as corrupt organizations
pillaging from the global population.

Thank you,
Brett
