In this day and age there is no place for a monopolized internet. Free Open Source initiatives are the backbone of countless protocols used with everything we do online. Giving Verizon a benefit like this will be bad for all TLD's in the long run. This is a bad change. Please reconsider it, or scrap it as a whole. If ICANN needs more money then start a GoFundMe. There are plenty of orgs and individuals that are willing to support you if you give them a reason to do so. The new change with Verizon gives them a reason to not do so.

Kinds regards,
Damian
