As an entrepreneur and avid user of the internet I protest the deal brokered behind closed doors to increase the prices of .COM over the next decade. The barrier to entry is high enough, don’t make deals to allow for the inflation of prices on the core TLD. Increasing prices will just solidify power in those who currently rent domains and will reduce the innovation from young individuals with limited budgets. .IO pricing is already out of control, don’t let .COM be the next mistake.
