Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally complain regarding the changes made to the
contract between ICANN and Verisign, Inc. who operate the .COM
top-level-domain (TLD).

To my understanding, these changes were made behind closed doors without
any public consultation and without an open tender to other businesses. The
possible price increases to .com domain names could see prices increase
dramatically.

I request that this decision is reviewed and adjusted accordingly. Either
it should be opened up to competition, or further control should be put
into place to prevent the current changes. The proposed changes should not
go ahead as-is.

Yours faithfully,

Karl Buckland
