Dear Madam, dear Sir,

ICANN has a key-position considering domainnames and the way these are
traded.

It is unacceptable that ICANN can decide about the community of
internet-users in an
absolutely intransparent way disregarding the interests of that same
community.

You prove how wrong it is to leave ICANN as it was and not put in in the
hands of the UNO.

What you plan is giving Verison the possibility to act as a registrar
for com-domains,
seems not really fair and has nothing to do with a free market anymore.

I do hope ICANN will reconsider because an increase of the price for
com-domains will
make non-americans choose for a different tld, like I already do.

This is the second time some business, that I consider stinking, is
going on at ICANN,
what is wrong with your organisation?
When even large american compagnies beg their users to protest, that
should be a
wake-up-call for ICANN.

Regards,

Jan van Leeuwen
