[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Comment for Verisign Contract

The ability for anyone on the internet to be free to go out and create
their own website at an affordable price should be protected. The allowed
increases by Verisign to the .COM top level domain prices pose a serious
threat to this. ICANN clearly needs more money for system infrastructure,
but allowing Verisign to provide this funding is not worth all of the
strings attached. Increasing the 18 cent ICANN fee per domain to something
more sustainable (like a few bucks instead) and asking dues from it's
shareholders should be the way to raise money for more infrastructure, not
letting Verisign have a largely unregulated Monopoly on internet domains.
