I have several .com names registered.

I am opposed to the proposed amendment. The purpose of the ICANN and Verisign arrangement is to ensure functioning domain name registration, but mission creep continues to drive justification for additional revenue passed back to ICANN. The proposed amendment is counter to your stated mission, drives up costs, and further enriches a private company (which had $806 million dollars in net profit in 2019 at margins of >65%) at the expense of the public. ICANN is a non-profit public benefit corporation and should not be receiving a proposed $20 million kickback from a for-profit corporation that it oversees.
