I would like to comment on the proposed price increase for the .com registered domains.

The increased cost of living affects everyone at some time.  Whilst starting an internet based business is cheaper than a traditional “bricks and mortar” business everyone still needs to work to a budget.

Increases in wholesale prices are inevitable however the amount of 7% per annum for many years is much higher than most global economy’s CPI increases.

Possibly a better outcome would be to either cap this increase for a set time or reduce the annual increase in line with CPI.

Surely economies of scale would offset this increase.
