The proposed price increase agreement between ICANN and Verisign lacks accountability, transparency and honesty. This deal appears to contain all of the necessary elements  for an improper quid pro quo and could fall under a variety of conspiracy laws. I recommend ICANN slow down and provide a full explanation of the benefits of this deal and a full accounting of who will benefit financially.  Also, agreeing to price increases beyond a short-term window of 3 years is speculative and foolish. ICANN should pause and think this through.
