The amount of control maintained by ICANN is concerning when the public is
ignored. The proposed changes are an example of exactly what is wrong with
this power and control for something as ubiquitous as domains without
including open feedback.
More inclusion in this process is needed. It is very possible that
additional funds are needed to process domains, but this should be vetted
by others. The potential for abuse is high following the current process
with only two parties involved.
Please use wisdom before entering into agreements that can potentially harm
those with lower resources. Let's work to keep the internet open to all
allowing the inclusion of everyone without creating unnecessary additional
financial burdens to entry
