Storage and computational power have become ever cheaper.  How can  you justify not one, but a series of increases to domain pricing (particularly .COM) when cost for equipment and resources have dropped faster than any sort of inflation.

There's talk (whatever that's worth) of some back-room deals to enable larger groups like Verisign increase their profitability.  Also, very possibly driving the smaller registrars out of business . . . and, of course, followed by even steeper price increases.  I've seen this with "Home Depot" destroying the local hardware stores and then increasing prices whilst reducing services.  

Is this where we are headed?   Or perhaps, are you working on causing consumers to relinquish their .com domains by increasing the pricing? 

Please send and, for that matter, supply publicly, some sort of justification for this plan that is valid - and delay or desist implementation until public opinion can not only be openly solicited but also properly taken into account as the chief interested party in all such matters.
