I'm so tired of all of this, we've got .org now owned by a venture capital firm instead of a non-profit and a bunch of other absolutely stupid and unforgivable moves being made in the TLD space.

Stop it.

The '.com' is what many think of when they think 'domain name' and making it even less accessible is the wrong move, its already frustrating enough that that VeriSign administrates this and '.net', important parts of internet domain infrastructure.

NO, don't increase the cost, throw out this agreement, nobody wants it but VeriSign and to be frank nobody wants VeriSign to administrate this TLD anyways.
