[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement

As a registrant of many domains, I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains as no one other than Verisign wants and increase in .COM prices.

As ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest, Verisign has no business dictating prices. If Verisign no longer wants to be the manager of the .COM registry due to the pricing of .COM domains at $7.85, which is already too high, then there should be a public bid for a new registry to take over.

Furthermore, prices should be locked in for at least a 10 year period and prices should decrease over time and not keep rising as all the .COM registry does is maintain a database of information, and not much more...

Sincerely,

P. Gill
