Please, do not allow this new contract to go through. Increasing the prices of .com domains, or any other online "real estate" will have a crippling effect on free speech over the internet. Right now, cheap domain names allow just about anyone to host a website and express their views. Jacking up the prices, which this new contract does for 8 out of the next 10 years, will only serve as a barrier to poorer people who are trying to own and operate a website. Please, just leave it alone.
