Hello,

As a registrant of multiple .COM domains, and as a consultant who deals with .COM domains regularly, I oppose the changes to the pricing Verisign is allowed to charge as fees for registration of .COM domains.

Furthermore, the fact that ICANN and Verisign discussed these changes in secret without public involvement (or even just ICANN community involvement) up to this point is appalling. Indeed for a body whose duty is to the public, it is anathema to me.

This amendment doesn't pass even a basic sniff test - insufficient justification for the reasoning behind these fee changes has been provided to the public, .COM registrants, or even just the ICANN community.

Please reconsider this amendment, as increasing these registration fees will only harm average Americans like myself, my clients,  and will only serve to line the pockets of Verisign.

The string of other recent ICANN changes, like with the .org price cap, plus this seem to indicate that ICANN is delinquent in its public duty and responsibility to people like myself.
