I object to the proposed price increase as a small business owner and an
author with a professional .com website. The current prices for .com
domains are more than justified and there is no real reason for the
increase. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public
interest. The public interest is not served by raising the price of .com
domains up to 70% over the next decade. Large corporations can certainly
afford it, but they are not the only ones who use .com domains.

I agree with other commenters that this move is an excuse to open the door
for predatory, abusive increase in pricing for .com domains. Please let the
economic interests of one company overpower the social interests of the
entire internet.
