<div dir="auto">Considering .com domains are so common and used by businesses and people across the globe, this proposed amendment stinks of corruption and greed. Especially when the window for public comments was kept short and the discussion was held behind closed doors.</div>

<div dir="auto">I can understand removing the form on your website as you were probably overwhelmed with comments like these. People that are very much against the proposed price hike. A proposal that can increase domain prices by 70%+ over the next decade. But if that’s any hint of where people stand, that should be it. Not to mention people on Twitter, Reddit, and others are speaking up against this.</div>

<div dir="auto">Internet is meant to be available for everyone. Raising the bar for the most common top level domain seems to go against the very foundation of what it stands for. Do the people at ICANN still have a moral compass? Or is it all about making a few more dollars for the executives of ICANN and Verisign?</div>
