Dear Sir, Madam,

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) supports the comments submitted by the OECD in their entirety.

The recommendations approved by the GNSO IGO-INGO Access to Curative Rights Protection Mechanisms PDP Working Group are in contradiction with the privileges and immunities granted to IGOs by their Member States in order to protect their independence and allow them to complete their mission. IGOs should not be forced to waive their jurisdictional immunity when it comes to domain name disputes involving IGOs, which should be solved by alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. We therefore urge the Working Group to reconsider its recommendations.

Yours sincerely,
