Comment on the Proposal for Chinese Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules

Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) would like to convey our thanks to
Chinese Script Generation Panel (CGP) members on contributing their time and expertise to
liaison with the Chinese communities and develop the CGP proposal.

HKIRC supports this proposal. It is fundamental to develop a truly multilingual and digitally
inclusive Internet. It is believed that the CGP proposal will set the starting rule sets to enable the
use of Chinese language at the root level. As a result, finalizing the proposal and integrating it
into the root zone will provide a more consistent and positive experience for not only Chinese
speaking Internet users but also all Internet users.

Yours sincerely,

Wilson Wong
Chief Executive Officer
Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited
