[Comments-org-renewal-18mar19] .org: Important for All

The .org TLD has become best known as the non-profit and not-for-profit domain. Allowing unlimited fee increases will allow predatory practices like those that already take place on other TLD’s. An introductory rate may be offered, only to find a MUCH higher cost on your invoice the following year. These community organizations are often ran by people not very tech savvy and volunteers who are intimidated by technology. It is a large step to bring them online in the first place, but to subject them to unreasonable fees is something that I feel must be discouraged. As mentioned, I believe the practice to be intentionally predatory and dishonest. .org’s have a special place in the history of building out the internet, and small, local, community organizations identify most often with this TLD. Please reconsider aspects of this proposed renewal.

Sincerely,
-Garrett E. Culver
