URL registrations especially .org registrations used by nonprofit
organizations need to have a price cap in place. Budgets are always tight
for on-going nonprofits. But when a nonprofit founder has an idea for a
charity to bring life to a cause, it starts with an idea and a cause. Many
nonprofits and businesses are bootstrapping their idea into something
viable and increased costs and administration of any sort are barriers to
getting something off the ground. It's common for a nonprofit to register
multiple URLs not just to protect the name but to think ahead and consider
different projects or platforms of communication all requiring URL
registration. So any increased costs add up and can build obstacles for
on-going business especially startups and nonprofit organizations. Please
keep the caps in place.
