[Comments-org-renewal-18mar19] Proposed changes to .ORG registration pricing policy

Hello:

After reading through the proposed changes to the .ORG policies regarding
pricing for registrations, I find that there is no acceptable reason to
allow unrestricted price increases for base registration pricing. The
individual domain registration costs are on the scale of a fractional penny
of real resource costs. Any price increases, beyond inflation and actual
infrastructure costs, are simple toll collecting by the root ORG
registrar. Infrastructure costs have only decreased with time, and
inflation is well under the 10% limit currently imposed.

I strongly urge that this policy not be adopted. Instead, I would propose
an even more restrictive policy to prevent price increases should be put in
place. Any price increase in base registration costs by any root registrar
on any TLD should require public justification.

Thank you,
Aaron Longfield
