As a technology director at a nonprofit organization that maintains multiple .org domains, I must oppose the proposed changes to the agreement. Allowing for unlimited price increases could put many nonprofit organizations in jeopardy of losing their domains, as such costs are often labeled as "overhead" by government and non-government funders in the nonprofit sector, which dramatically limits the pools of funds available to the organizations for payment. Every extra dollar these organizations have to come up with just the retain their domains must come out of the same limited budgets that keep the lights, heat, and phones on.

I would urge ICANN to reconsider its proposal.
