.org domain names are traditionally associated with non-profit and free
services. The price cap is critical to help such organizations to stay
above water. By removing it abruptly, there is a chance that the prices
will hike so much, even temporarily, and will force some of the smaller
non-profit and free services to stop serving. It would be wise to
reconsider not removing the price cap.
