Surely some kind of cap is necessary? Whilst I appreciate that there is a cost for registrars, domain names are a public resource, and as such should be subject to a level of control and regulation. Even more so for domains that are predominately used for charities. If well known names are forced to relinquish their domains because they cannot afford them, then this could also open the door for spoofing and cyber criminals.
