Please do not change the contract for the .org Registry to lift the current cap on price increases. I represent a number of charities that use the .org TLD. All of these nonprofits are squeezed in every direction for operating funds. Today, the internet is a de facto public utility. Having a web site is a essential organizational component for any organization - both for and non profit. All charities rely on the .org TLD and need be able to continue to pay a reasonable fee for access to this TLD. ICANN needs to treat TLD access in the same way that utilities treat rate increases. The contracts must be scrutinized using an approach that factors in the needs of the organizations using the .org. The proposed elimination of the regulated cap on price increases smacks of nothing more than a concerted lobbying effort on the part of PIR. Please do not move forward with the contract under these proposed guidelines.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Shannon Falter
