I am writing to express the support of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) for the Canadian International Internet Dispute Resolution Centre (CIIDRC) application to become a UDRP service provider.

CIRA manages the .CA country code top level domain. In 2002, CIRA developed the CIRA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("CDRP"). This policy is based on ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("UDRP"). The purpose of the CDRP is to provide a forum in which cases of bad faith registration of domain names registered in the .CA ccTLD can be dealt with relatively inexpensively and quickly.

On April 14, 2002, the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre (BCICAC) became one of two service providers to manage the CDRP. BCICAC is the parent organization of the applicant, the CIIDRC. BCICAC has been successfully managing .CA domain name disputes for CIRA for the last sixteen years. During this time, CIRA has been happy with the quality of the services provided by BCICAC, and with their ability to handle proceedings in an expedited, orderly and fair manner.
