Please note that the call for nominations by members of the GNSO Council
for candidates to stand for for ICANN Board Seat 13  formally opens on 
Monday 19 February 2007 at 00:00 UTC and will run until Monday 12 March 
2007 at 17:00 UTC

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
GNSO Council Election for ICANN Board seat 13
February - May 2007

Nomination Template

At any given time, no two Directors selected by a Supporting 
Organization shall be citizens of the same country or of countries 
located in the same Geographic Region.

[Note Rita Rodin from North America, elected by the GNSO, currently 
holds ICANN Board seat 14]

  All nominations must be seconded by another GNSO Council member before 
the close of nominations on Monday 12 March at 17:00 UTC.

Each nomination must be accompanied by a brief description of how the 
candidate meets the following selection criteria

Only GNSO Council members may nominate, second and vote for candidates,
although GNSO Council members should consult with their constituencies 
with regard to suitable candidates.

The GNSO Secretariat will confirm the nomination, by sending an e-mail 
to the candidate requesting their acceptance.

The GNSO Secretariat shall convey the nomination and the acceptance 
thereof to the GNSO Council list.

PLEASE NOTE: If you send a Nomination or Second, and you have not sent 
email to ICANN recently, you will receive an email from ICANN asking you 
to confirm that you have sent an email to gnso-nominations at icann.org. 
For your Nomination or Second to be valid you MUST respond to the email 
requesting confirmation, or use the confirming URL that will be provided 
in the confirming email.
