**This refers to the policy work the GNSO is doing and how GNSO staff is
working with Operations staff to help ensure the necessary policy
guidance is given for successful implementation.  The annual report
envisions in the future dedicated staff focused on implementation of the
GNSO's gTLD-related policies ("gTLD program office").

**This was an effort to capture (at the time the report was drafted) the
GNSO's discussions and activities relating to gTLDs and IDNs.  This is
not intended to change the GNSO's IDN Working Group's charter and
workplan.
