Councilors and Staff,

It is my pleasure to announce that Carlos Affonso Pereira de
Souza, a law professor from Rio, Brazil, has been elected as
NCUC representative to replace me on the Council. I realize this
is hardly an introduction, but with your loaded agenda ahead,
I'm sure you will quickly have the opportunity to acquaint with
him, first through his statement of interest as I presume, or
certainly during your meetings.
