Diane provided the following response to Adrian's question:

"With regards to Sunday,  the local hosts have extended an invitation to a number of people for a small event that they were not able to have on any other evening.  That is why I've asked if its possible to shift this dinner here in Cartagena.  Regards Diane"

What she didn't say in her response is that she first tried to change the date of the event and was unsuccessful.
