[council] DNS Entrepreneurship Center

Hi Julf,

My take on this would be that each stakeholder group/constituency within the GNSO needs to work on its own outreach. Often, this involves coordination with ICANN staff including staff from the Regional Stakeholder Engagement teams, among others.

However, given that the GNSO is responsible for gTLD policy development, which results in policy recommendations to the ICANN board, I would guess that the scope of the GNSO Council (as the manager of the GNSO’s PDP) in terms of outreach is limited to outreach for the purpose of participation in GNSO working groups, and perhaps outreach to encourage engagement in any public comment periods associated with the GNSO’s ongoing work.

My personal thoughts, but I admit, I hadn’t given this much thought before.

Thanks.

Amr

Although the GNSO Council has not had any input to this centre, there are members of the GNSO community who have been involved with it in their individual capacities.

Manal Ismail, the Egyptian representative on the GAC is also very involved in the setup of this initiative, and can provide insight. I’m certain either one of them would gladly answer any questions folks may have.
