Please note that calendar invites for the webinar have been sent (Tuesday 23 August at 22.00 UTC) – if you did not receive one, please let the GNSO Secretariat know (gnso-secs at icann.org). 

For your information, the webinar presenters are:

•    Thomas Rickert - Co-Chair CCWG-Accountability

•    Xavier Calvez - ICANN CFO

•    Bernard Turcotte -  Manager ICANN PCST/ ICANN Staff Support to the CCWG-Accountability

Presentation Materials will be:

•    Budget Ownership - 1 pager on budget (attached) - Xavier Calvez

•    Legal Cost Control Mechanisms in the CCWG-Accountability (attached) - Thomas Rickert

The presentations should take about 30 minutes leaving 30 minutes for questions and comments. You are encouraged to share any questions you may have in advance of the webinar so that the presenters can prepare accordingly.

Subject: CCWG proposed cost control mechanisms

Councilors -

On 2 AUG, I attended a webinar in which the Board Finance Committee (BFC) and the co-chairs of the CCWG-ACCT presented a proposal to estimate, manage and control costs associated with CCWG Work Stream 2.  Materials from the webinar (slides, transcripts and recordings) are attached.

Please note that we have requested (and Staff/BFC has agreed to provide) a webinar on this subject for the GNSO Council and leadership of the SG/Cs.  Details are still being worked out with Staff, but in order to make the cut-off for our next meeting (1 SEP), this needs to happen by 22 AUG.  Otherwise, Council consideration/approval of this proposal may fall to our October meeting.
