It's also been reported on Domain Name Wire:

http://domainnamewire.com/2016/07/28/breaking-web-top-level-domain-name-auction-ends-135-million/

but no winner announced.

I think ICANN makes a commitment to do that within 7 days of the auction.

Subject: [council] FW: .Web reportedly auctioned for $135 million

FYI-now we are talking about a truly serious endowment fund...

Jothan Frakes just posted on Facebook that the .Web last resort auction has concluded and that the gTLD sold for $135 million. The identity of the winning purchaser was not included.

If the report is correct, that means that the auction fund has just more than doubled to almost a quarter of a billion dollars, with its use yet to be determined by the ICANN community.
