Hi Councilors,
During the GNSO Council call held on 18 May 2017 a couple of questions was asked. We have reached out to meetings team and here are their responses.
* Regarding briefing on safety and security for ICANN59: On 16 May, the Meetings and Security Operations teams held a community webinar on ICANN59 logistics and safety information. Here is the link to the announcement which includes recordings for anyone who didn’t attend: https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2-2017-05-11-en. Additionally, health/safety/security information can be found on the Meeting website <https://meetings.icann.org/en/johannesburg59> under the headings Security Overview and Safety Guidelines.
* For ICANN60 in Abu Dhabi, will ICANN consider or at least look into the feasibility of getting a shuttle bus from the Dubai airport to the venue in Abu Dhabi: Meetings team are working on the transportation opportunities between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and will keep us posted with details soon.
Thank you.
With kind regards,
Terri
