[council] PLEASE READ: Zoom for the GNSO Council meeting 16 May 2019

Dear all,

As you may be aware we will be using a Zoom room for the GNSO Council meeting tomorrow, Thursday 16 May 2019 at 12:00 UTC.

Please see changes triggered by Zoom below:


  1.  Connecting to the audio:


Upon logging in to the Zoom room, you will be given 3 options:

  *   using VoIP (computer audio),
  *   getting a call out to your phone,
  *   dialing in.
If your internet connection is unstable, please use the call out option.
If you are used to getting a dial out with Verizon, and your internet connection is unstable, please refer to the list of phone numbers here: https://zoom.us/u/aRxRoDRS.
If your location is not listed, please email gnso-secs at icann.org<mailto:gnso-secs at icann.org> for a dial out. We are still using Verizon for audio cast purposes and can ask the operator to dial out to you exceptionally if Zoom cannot provide a number for your location.


  1.  Document viewing:

Zoom allows for document sharing only (not document uploading), this means that the Adobe Connect scrolling capabilities are not reflected in the Zoom room. Staff Support will be screen sharing documents for which this is not an issue (one or two page documents for instance), but will be posting links in the Zoom chat room for lengthier documents.
In order to prepare for the call, please ensure you have the Council meeting Document wiki page<https://community.icann.org/display/gnsocouncilmeetings/Documents+16+May+2019> open on your computer. This wiki page lists all the documents mentioned in the agenda. It will be easier to follow the lengthier documents on your computers than in the Zoom room.
